what is ebh?
hackathons are kinda hard to get into. they're expensive, have weird requirements, and honestly? most of them feel like they're built for people who already have all the advantages.
our goal is simple: allow everyone to have the opportunity to participate in a hackathon, completely free of charge. especially high school students in underrepresented areas of the bay area who deserve the same shot at building something incredible as everyone else.
we're talking truly free. no registration fees, no hidden costs. free workshops to level up your skills, industry professional mentors who actually care about helping you succeed, and yes, free food throughout the entire day (because nobody builds on an empty stomach).
this is hackathons done right. accessible, inclusive, and focused on what actually matters: giving talented high schoolers the space and support to turn their wildest ideas into reality.

Q / do i need experience to join?
A / nope! you don't need any prior hackathon experience or fancy resume. just curiosity, energy, and a willingness to learn and build with others.
Q / what happens after the event?
A / teams with standout projects get featured on our site, invited to future events, and possibly even to work with us. you'll also join our east bay hackers alumni network to keep building beyond the day.
