What is East Bay Hackers?

Hackathons can often feel inaccessible — high registration fees, restrictive requirements, and environments designed for those who already have access to resources and experience.

At East Bay Hackers, we believe innovation should be accessible to everyone.

Our mission is simple: To deliver a high-quality, professionally organized hackathon experience — completely free of charge. We are especially committed to empowering high school students in underrepresented Bay Area communities with the opportunity to build, compete, and create.

No registration fees. No hidden costs. Participants receive curated workshops, hands-on mentorship from industry professionals, and meals throughout the event so they can stay focused on building impactful projects.

Accessible. Inclusive. Purpose-driven.

As we prepare for our third hackathon, we are raising the standard — expanding our impact and creating ever greater opportunities for the next generation of Bay Area innovators.
